An Ode To My Car

Home away from home! Reliability a must.
Comfort important. An engine that combusts.

Aaaah… heated seats! An oasis in a storm.
A place to eat and drink, cool down or get warm,

Gather your thoughts or take a momentary rest.
Oh, wouldn’t a porta-potty there be the best!

Extra supplies, umbrella and GPS (pain in the neck),
Coins for parking meters, phone charger…….check!

Spare tire, jumper cables, windshield washer, ice scraper.
Thank goodness for ‘AAA’ when a tire meets its maker!

Most important feature… by far the cup holder.
Although hand sanitizer has made life easier to shoulder.

Radio….tape deck….CD player….iPod dock…
Sound track for caring on the lonely roads we flock.

Through wind, sleet, snow, ice and falling hail,
Making home visits, like the Postal Service we prevail.

Home care nurses go in planes, horse or trolley making visits afar,
But nothing can be as comfortable as my own trusty car!
